Job summary

Newlands Primary Academy in Waterlooville is inviting applications for a Teaching Assistant to support children in a newly opened Resourced Provision for autism. You will work within a friendly team providing personal and learning support, helping pupils achieve their best in an inclusive setting.

Experience with Early Years Foundation Stage and Key Stage 1 is preferred, and the role includes an induction and training programme under the University of Chichester Academy Trust.

Qualifications

  • Be enthusiastic, dynamic, and preferably experienced with children with communication differences and sensory needs.
  • Demonstrate ability to form positive relationships with pupils and families to support progress.
  • Flexible, reliable, proactive, and able to support learning.

Teaching Assistant - Resourced Provision

Are you passionate about supporting every child’s learning and committed to helping create an inclusive environment where all pupils can thrive? As part of our friendly and supportive team at Newlands Primary Academy, within the University of Chichester Academy Trust, you will play a key role in supporting children in our Resourced Provision for children with autism that is opening in September.

You will work as part of a team to provide personal and learning support to children in the Resourced Provision enabling them to achieve to the best of their ability. You will be an enthusiastic and dynamic individual, preferably with experience of working within the Early Years Foundation stage, Key Stage 1 and/or a Resourced Provision environment.

We are committed to offering meaningful professional development, and this role includes a structured induction and training programme to enable you to support the needs of the children who will be joining our Resourced Provision.

  • Be committed to developing effective partnerships with children, parents, staff and external professionals, promoting excellent behaviour and high standards.
