Job summary

Newlands Primary Academy, part of the University of Chichester Academy Trust, is opening a Resourced Provision for children with autism in September. You will provide personal and learning support to pupils, enabling them to achieve their best, as part of a supportive team.

The ideal candidate is enthusiastic and, preferably, experienced with children who have communication differences, sensory needs, and require structured learning approaches.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children with communication differences, sensory needs, social interaction needs, or autism.
• Preferably experience in Early Years Foundation Stage, Key Stage 1 or Resourced Provision environments.
• Enthusiastic, proactive and able to build positive relationships with pupils, parents and colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal and learning support to children in the Resourced Provision to enable them to achieve their best.
• Work as part of a team, participate in induction and training, and develop through the Trust's professional development programme.

Teaching Assistant - Resourced Provision

As part of our friendly and supportive team at Newlands Primary Academy, within the University of Chichester Academy Trust, you will play a key role in supporting children in our Resourced Provision for children with autism that is opening in September.

You will work as part of a team to provide personal and learning support to children in the Resourced Provision enabling them to achieve to the best of their ability. You will be an enthusiastic and dynamic individual, preferably with experience of working within the Early Years Foundation stage, Key Stage 1 and/or a Resourced Provision environment.

• Be enthusiastic, dynamic, and preferably experienced in working with children with communication differences, sensory sensitivities, social interaction needs and the need for structured approaches to learning.
• Demonstrate the ability to form positive, supportive relationships with individuals or groups across a range of settings to help pupils make progress.
• Have a flexible, reliable, and proactive approach to supporting learning.
• Be committed to developing effective partnerships with children, parents, staff and external professionals, promoting excellent behaviour and high standards.
