Job summary

Nova Training in the United Kingdom is seeking an experienced Teaching Assistant to join our team. You will support students with special educational needs and assist tutors in class and on our outdoor activities.

The role focuses on maintaining high standards of attainment, reporting progress daily, and working closely with parents. You will need excellent communication, a proactive approach to planning and assessment, and a commitment to safeguarding.

Qualifications

• 1 year minimum experience as a Teaching Assistant in an education setting.
• Relevant qualification/training in Special Education.
• Experience working with learners who have an EHCP is advantageous.
• Excellent communication & interpersonal skills; proactive and creative approach.

Responsibilities

• Support the class teacher in preparation and delivery of lessons/interventions.
• Provide daily progress reports on learners' progress and barriers to learning.
• Interact with parents/caregivers on a regular basis.
• Assist in managing behavioural difficulties when they arise.
• Motivate, challenge and inspire students to achieve their best.
• Contribute to Nova Training's core vision and values.
• Work independently and as part of a strong, cohesive team.
• Demonstrate strong subject knowledge in English and Maths.

Are you an experienced Teaching Assistant looking for a new role? We have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team as a Teaching Assistant. As a Teaching Assistant you will have a passion for working with students with special educational needs and will be committed to ensuring that all students have access to high quality education and support. Through this you will also be required to work closely with the tutors providing assistance in the classroom as well as on any outdoor activities/trips.
