Job description

Due to demand, we are looking for Teaching Assistants who are available to work afternoons from 12:00 to 15:15 in a lovely primary school in Northop Hall.

In addition to this school, Educate works with a range of primary schools in Flintshire, including mainstream and SEN schools, and requires Teaching Assistants to support the class teacher on a supply basis for full days.

We specialise in recruiting Teaching Assistants (TA) qualified in the following:

  • NVQ Level 2 Teaching Assistant
  • NVQ Level 3 Teaching Assistant
  • Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA)
  • CACHE Level 3 in Childcare & Education
  • BTEC National Certificate in Childhood Studies (Nursery Nursing)

We also consider experienced Learning Support Assistants (LSAs) who have worked in primary schools, care work, customer service, or assisted pupils in secondary schools, even if they do not hold the above qualifications. We offer in-house TA training to support your development.

As a teaching assistant, your responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting in the educational and social development of pupils under the guidance of the head teacher, ALNCO, and class teachers
  • Helping implement and monitor Individual Education Programmes (IEPs) for students
  • Providing support for individual students inside and outside the classroom to enable full participation
  • Maintaining student records alongside class teachers
  • Supporting students with emotional or behavioural difficulties and helping develop their social skills
