Your Role As An SEN Teaching Assistant

As a Teaching Assistant in this Uxbridge primary school, your main responsibilities will include:

• Delivering tailored 1:1 and small group support for pupils with MLD, and occasionally ASD or SLD.
• Helping pupils to access a modified curriculum and meet their EHCP targets.
• Using visual aids, structured routines, and positive reinforcement strategies to aid learning and behaviour.
• Supporting with occasional personal care needs.
• Building positive, trusting relationships with pupils, staff, and families.
  
  

About You - SEN Teaching Assistant

We're looking for an experienced Teaching Assistant who:

• Has several years of experience working in a dedicated SEN setting - ideally with MLD and ASD as a primary need.
• Demonstrates excellent communication skills, empathy, and resilience.
• Can confidently use strategies tailored to ASD, MLD, and SLD needs.
