Prospero Teaching is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant for a secondary school in Hounslow. The role suits candidates with enthusiasm, a can-do attitude, and those with SEN experience.

A STEM degree is preferred but not essential, and there is potential for contract extension or a permanent position based on performance. The role is full-time, 8:00am to 4:00pm, temporary with start date 02/11/2026 and end date ongoing; the school offers safeguarding training and ongoing professional

Teaching Assistant

Prospero Teaching is looking for a dedicated Teaching Assistant for a Secondary school in Hounslow. The school is looking for someone who is enthusiastic and who has a can-do attitude. The role is open to candidates with previous SEN experience and for those who are looking to start their career in education. Although not essential the school would prefer candidates with a degree in a STEM subject. Depending on performance the school would look at either extending the contract or offering a permanent position.

EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience working with children and young people.
• A degree.
• Up-to-date Safeguarding training issued in the last year.

TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:

• Hold Right to Work in the UK
• Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
• Provide two professional child related references that cover the last 2 years

OTHER

The successful candidate will be required to register and have passed all safeguarding/vetting checks with Prospero Teaching to fill this vacancy.

Any adult working with children and vulnerable young people are responsible for safeguarding and protecting the welfare of the children and young people.
