Job summary

Pebbles Education recruits a Teaching Assistant to join our team at our school in Thirsk, North Yorkshire. You will foster a positive learning environment, delivering an individualised curriculum and supporting children in Pebbles homes or day placements.

The role involves working in groups and one-on-one with pupils, collaborating across departments, and helping learners reach their qualification goals. 37.5 hours/week, Monday to Friday, with benefits and healthcare options.

Your Role

You will be a self-motivated and dedicated team player who can assist in delivering our curriculum with a pupil-centred approach. You will work collaboratively with our other departments to encourage our children to participate in education and reach their qualification goals. This will involve working in groups and one-on-one with children who live within our Pebbles homes or attend on a day placement basis.

• A salary of £24,848.72 per annum plus benefits.

The Desirable Qualities We Look for

• Knowledge of theoretical approaches to adverse childhood experiences, mental health, attachment, therapeutic parenting, etc., which can be applied to everyday practice.
• Experience in supporting young people with Additional Support Needs or the desire to undertake professional learning to gain skills in this area.
• Experience in Therapeutic Parenting practices
• Previous experience is desirable but not essential.
• Current enhanced DBS.
