Job summary

Pyrland School in Taunton seeks a dedicated Teaching Assistant to support teaching staff in planning, preparing, and delivering lessons for learners. You will prepare resources and support learning activities while ensuring pupils are supported pastorally.

You will contribute to evaluating student progress and provide feedback to the class teacher to meet each student’s learning needs. A minimum of 3 GCSEs including English and Maths is required; TA qualification desirable.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 GCSEs at C or above, including English and Maths.
• Teaching Assistant qualification desirable.
• Experience of class supervision and assisting with lesson provision to achieve positive learning outcomes.
• Good written and verbal communication; ability to work with teaching staff.
• Empathetic and understanding to students' needs.

Responsibilities

• Assist with planning, preparation and delivery of lesson provision, both on a whole-class and individual basis.
