Job summary

A local primary school in Swansea is seeking a qualified Teaching Assistant Level 2 to support students with additional learning needs. You will be working closely with teachers and contribute to creating a nurturing environment for children. The ideal candidate should have a positive attitude and relevant experience. This role is temporary and requires commitment to safeguarding children's welfare.

The Governing Body of Talycopa Primary School wish to appoint an excellent Teaching Assistant to join us at this happy school, to support pupils with ALN.

We are looking for someone who:
  • Is an excellent team member with a positive attitude and a sense of humour.
  • Is able to work in a nurturing way to get the best out of every child.
  • Is experienced at supporting children with a range of additional learning needs.
  • Can work effectively with the ALNCo and class teachers to support pupils with IDP targets.
  • Is familiar with a range of ALN intervention programmes (eg- Attention Autism, WellComm, Sensory Circuits)
  • Is confident to use their own initiative.

Hours could include some lunchtime support/supervision.

The successful candidate must be qualified to NVQ Level 2 or equivalent or have relevant school experience.
