Teaching Personnel is working in partnership with several primary schools in Portland that are looking to appoint dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistants to join their teams for the upcoming academic year.

About the Role:

As a Teaching Assistant, you will support teachers in delivering high-quality education and provide targeted support to pupils in class, in small groups, or 1:1—particularly for children with additional needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assisting the class teacher with planning and lesson delivery
• Supporting pupils’ learning and development across EYFS, KS1, or KS2
• Providing tailored support to children with SEN or additional needs
• Helping with classroom organisation and behaviour management
• Creating a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment

We are looking for candidates who:

• Have experience working with children in an educational or care setting
• Are patient, enthusiastic, and reliable
• Have strong communication and teamwork skills
• Are willing to undertake relevant training (e.g., safeguarding, SEN)
• Hold or are willing to obtain an enhanced DBS on the Update Service
