Pay Scale: £88.92 - £105.89 per day

About the Role:

As a Primary Teaching Assistant with Monarch Education, you will play a crucial role in supporting the class teacher and assisting with the educational and social development of primary school pupils. Your responsibilities may include:

  • Providing one-to-one or small group support to children with their learning.
  • Assisting with the preparation of learning materials and classroom displays.
  • Helping to manage classroom behaviour and maintain a positive learning environment.
  • Supporting children with special educational needs (SEN) or disabilities.
  • Supervising children during break times and lunchtimes.
  • Assisting with school trips and other extracurricular activities.
  • Fostering a nurturing and inclusive environment where all children feel valued.

We are looking for individuals who are:

  • Experienced in working with primary school-aged children (either paid or voluntary).
  • Patient, adaptable, and empathetic.
  • Excellent communicators with both children and adults.
  • Able to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Proactive and willing to take initiative.
  • Committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
  • Ideally, holding a relevant qualification (e.g., Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification), though experience will also be highly valued.
