We are looking for someone who is passionate about inclusion, committed to helping every child achieve their full potential, and able to build positive, trusting relationships with children, families and colleagues. Experience of supporting pupils with SEND, EHCPs and an awareness of safeguarding would be highly desirable, although is not essential.

We are looking for someone who:
  • Has experience of working with children, ideally within a school environment.
  • Is passionate about supporting children with SEND and additional needs.
  • Can provide calm, consistent and nurturing support to vulnerable pupils.
  • Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
  • Shares our ambition for every child to feel safe, included and successful.

Foxhole is a small village school for up to 105 children aged between 4 and 11 years old. Our core values, known as The Foxhole Five, are at the heart of all that we do. Our values support us to develop our children as ambitious, curious and confident individuals with a love of life and learning. We pride ourselves on our nurturing environment and offer a safe, happy place where everyone is known and valued, and where differing needs are acknowledged, accepted and met. Our core values help us to live out our Trust Philosophy of ‘work hard, be honest & help others’.

Relationships are one of our core values and we place great emphasis on building positive relationships with everyone within our school and wider community. We are proudly part of the Kernow Learning family, which brings together a number of schools across Cornwall and provides strength and stability to ensure that we offer the very best education to the community we serve.

We are a friendly and welcoming school and work in partnership with our families in a way that places our school at the heart of the local community.

Kernow Learning is a multi-academy trust of 21 primary schools in Cornwall. We believe that our trust is at the precipice of something great; through a mix of collective synchronicity and autonomy, our schools are working together to provide strength so that they can stretch their offer beyond expectations in their drive for excellence. Our trust is not insular; we embrace collaboration, innovation, and development. Our English Hub supports schools across Cornwall to secure children’s early reading, whilst our Teaching School Hub, as a partner in OneCornwall, provides services to schools across Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly in relation to areas such as the Early Career Framework and National Professional Qualifications.

We offer:
  • Membership of the Local Government Pension Scheme.
  • Access to a 24/7 Employee Assistance Programme providing health and wellbeing advice, support and guidance.
  • A wide range of CPD and professional development opportunities, both internal and external.
  • Access to specialist expertise, networks and support across Kernow Learning.
  • An opportunity to grow your career with us, whatever your role, experience or background.

If you would like the opportunity to contribute to the success of our trust, then we would love to hear from you.

Kernow Learning is committed to safeguarding the welfare of children and follows the Safer Recruitment process. The successful candidate will be expected to share this commitment and will be required to undertake checks including an enhanced disclosure through the DBS process, as well as prohibition, S128, and Social Media/online presence checks.

We are committed to equality, diversity and inclusion and welcome applications from all suitably qualified candidates. If you require any part of the application pack in an alternative format, or require reasonable adjustments during the recruitment process, please contact us and we will be happy to discuss your needs.

Unfortunately, we are not a sponsoring organisation for overseas candidates. This means that the successful candidate will need to possess the right to work in the UK or be able to secure the right to work in the UK independently.
