GSL Education is hiring a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join a well-established school in Chard, supporting students with Autism and complex learning needs. You will help deliver engaging lessons in Numeracy, Literacy, life skills and Personal Development.

Key duties include supporting classroom learning, assisting in art and outdoor activities, helping students overcome barriers, building positive relationships with students and families, and contributing to planning, assessment and school

Qualifications

• Previous experience working with children
• A valid DBS
• Motivated and hardworking

We are recruiting for a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join a well-established school in Chard to provide support to students with Autism and complex learning needs. Some pupils also have additional sensory, physical, medical, social or emotional needs. This Teaching Assistant will help support engaging lessons including Numeracy, Literacy, life skill and Personal Development.

Daily duties for Teaching Assistant

• You will be required to support in creative Art and play lessons and outdoor activities
• Help students overcome barriers to success
• Build positive relationships with students and families
• Contribute to planning, assessment, and school improvement

Requirements for Teaching Assistant

• Previous experience working with children
