An educational institution in Shoreham-by-Sea is seeking a Teaching Assistant on a fixed-term contract until July 2026. The role involves supporting teachers and motivating students, particularly those with special educational needs. Applicants should have Maths and English GCSE or equivalent and experience in establishing positive relationships with students. The salary is pro-rata at £15,283 per annum for 27.5 hours per week. Working Pattern: Term time only (38 weeks)
Hours: 27.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday 8:30am-2:45pm
Actual Starting Salary (calculated pro rata): £15,283 per annum
Salaries are paid in 12 equal monthly instalments
Teaching Assistants play a crucial role in the classroom. We are seeking an individual who can support our teachers and motivate and encourage our pupils. The role of a Teaching Assistant is crucial in promoting the learning and personal development of all pupils; including but not exclusively, those with special education needs. We are looking for a Teaching Assistant who is calm, confident and has the skills to be able to support classroom activities safely and can create a positive learning environment.
Holmbush Primary Academy serves over 205 pupils aged 4 to 11. Our environment is safe, stimulating and well-resourced with spacious classrooms and natural light. We offer excellent ICT provision and a well-stocked library to support reading and learning. Our outdoor space includes playground equipment, an outside classroom and a woodland area for outdoor learning.
