Job summary

Supply Desk is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant in Worthing to support pupils 1:1 and in small groups across age groups and subjects. You will assist the class teacher with behaviour management and help prepare learning resources, contributing to a proactive classroom environment.

Applicants with experience in childcare or teaching support, or backgrounds such as sports coaching, youth work, or volunteer roles with young people, are welcomed.

Qualifications

  • Backgrounds welcomed include sports coaching, youth work, volunteer work, support work, childcare or previous Teaching Assistant experience, scout/guide leaders or similar roles working with young people.
  • Experience with children or passion for supporting their education is valued.
  • Willingness to engage in a range of activities to support pupils across age groups.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and welfare of children is essential.
  • Eligible to work in the UK and meet legal requirements for the role.

Responsibilities

Teaching Assistant Worthing

Supply Desk is currently working with a number of mainstream schools in Worthing to provide additional support for children within the classroom. We are seeking individuals who are passionate about education and have a genuine drive to help children achieve their full potential.

We offer a range of opportunities, from day-to-day cover to longer-term placements, supporting pupils across different age groups and subjects.

We welcome applications from candidates with a variety of backgrounds, including:
  • Sports coaching
  • Youth work
  • Volunteer work
  • Support work
  • Childcare or previous Teaching Assistant experience
  • Scout/Guide leaders or similar roles working with young people
As a Teaching Assistant in Worthing, you will:
