Job summary

SHROPSHIRE COUNCIL in Pontesbury is seeking a Teaching Assistant (Level 2) to provide 1:1 SEND support for a Key Stage 1 pupil. The role is fixed term until July 2027, 17.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8:30am–12:00pm, in a supportive school team.

The post carries a Grade 5 SCP 7 rate of £14.14 per hour and runs for 43.60 weeks per year (term time only). Enthusiastic, patient and nurturing candidates are encouraged to apply.

• Experience or ability to provide 1:1 SEND support for a pupil.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 support to a identified Key Stage 1 pupil with SEND.
• Support pupil's learning, behaviour and welfare in class and during activities.
• Collaborate with teaching staff and families to monitor progress.

We are seeking a caring, enthusiastic and committed Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support for an identified Key Stage 1 pupil with SEND.
