Teaching Assistant required at an Oldham Primary School (OL8)

Monarch Education are recruiting on behalf of a client school in the Oldham area (OL8) for an experienced Teaching Assistant to join their team. This is a fixed-term post to cover a maternity leave and will be based in KS1; however, flexibility to cover across classes is required.

We Are Looking For Someone Who

  • Holds a Level 3 TA qualification or equivalent
  • Has recent experience supporting primary-aged children within a school setting
  • Is able to foster strong working relationships with children, staff, and the wider school community
  • Has experience supporting children with a range of Special Educational Needs
  • Has a passion for supporting young learners throughout their academic journey

Main Responsibilities Include

  • Working in collaboration with the class teacher to provide a safe and inclusive environment for all children
  • Leading small group interventions of around 4-5 pupils per session
  • Supporting children with Special Educational Needs on a 1:1 basis
  • Managing behaviour within the class
