Prospero Teaching is excited to be recruiting for a fantastic school in Oldbury, which is looking to welcome a dedicated Teaching Assistant to their team. This is a wonderful opportunity to work in an inclusive and supportive environment, where you will play a crucial role in supporting the academic and social development of students.

Location – Oldbury
Position – Teaching Assistant
Type of work – working under the direction of the class teacher
Contract or position start date – ASAP
Duration – Ongoing
Contract or position end date – Ongoing
Contract type – Temporary
Full time/part time – Full time
Minimum rate of pay – Negotiable
Hours – 8:30 am – 3:30pm : Mon – Fri (term time only)

Key Responsibilities:
· Supporting class teachers with lesson delivery and student engagement
· Assisting with small group work or one-to-one support for students with Special Educational Needs (SEN)
· Helping with classroom management and ensuring a positive, inclusive learning environment
· Supervising children during break times, lunch, and other school activities

Experience, Training, and Qualifications:
· Previous experience working with children, either in a school setting or a similar role
· A passion for education and supporting young people
· Relevant qualifications (, Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant or equivalent) are desirable but not essential
· Safeguarding: Up-to-date Safeguarding training is imperative. If you havent completed a Safeguarding course in the last 12 months, Prospero Teaching can provide you with a free course.

To be eligible for any job with Prospero Teaching, you must:
· Hold the Right to Work in the UK
· Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service, or be willing to process a new application
· Provide two professional child-related references that cover at least the last two years
