The Role of a Teaching Assistant

• Starting ASAP
• Term time only
• Contract is initially via ANZUK but has the option to become permanent for the right educator
• Assist developing and implementing work programmes for students in alternative provision and lessons
• Provide a stable, caring and supportive learning environment
• Maintain detailed notes to help monitor student progress and attainment

Experience fields

For this Teaching Assistant role we are interested in educators who have experience in one of these fields:

• Working within a trauma-informed approach
• Supporting pupils with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) and ADHD
• Addressing Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs
• Supporting cognition and learning development
• Leading interventions on a 1:1 basis or with small groups
• Working within Key Stage 2 (KS2) and Key Stage 3 (KS3) settings

Requirements of a Teaching Assistant

• An Enhanced DBS or be willing to apply for one through ANZUK Education
• An up-to-date CV outlining employment covering the last two years
• Have experience working with students in a voluntary or paid capacity
• Knowledge in supporting students who have a combination of learning, social, emotional or behavioural needs
• Willing to complete full registration with ANZUK
