• Qualified or training to be qualified in a Teaching Assistant role.
• Experience supporting pupils in primary or nursery settings.

Salary: Up to £500 per week

Connex Education are working with a large number of mainstream primary schools and nurseries based in the Teesside area who are looking for Teaching Assistants to join their team and work full time from nursery to year 6. If you are someone who is qualified and experienced in schools or if you are currently in college, completing placement hours or providing support in schools and looking for teaching assistant work, then please see below.

About the school

The primary schools we work with at Connex are inclusive, welcoming, and provide you with responsibility for assisting the teachers and supporting the pupils in the classroom from Nursery to Year 6.

Assignment Details

Cover work is available between Monday – Friday, so the right candidate MUST be able to work a minimum of 3 full days between 8:30am and 3:30pm. It is essential that you have either got or are working towards a Teaching Assistant, Early Years, or Childcare qualification, or some other similar relevant experience to be successful in working as a supply teaching assistant cover.

Person Specification

• Qualified, training to be qualified, or experienced in a primary or nursery setting (placement or volunteer experience accepted)
• Experience of supporting pupils in a primary environment, in a nursery, or in a healthcare setting
• Confidence in working with small groups or as a 1:1 key person
• Good knowledge of Additional Needs and the school curriculum
• Current DBS on the update service or willingness to apply for a new one with Connex
