Job summary

Connex Education Partnership is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to support pupils across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2. This full-time, term-time only role offers varied classroom duties, opportunities to work across multiple schools, and a pathway to permanent placements.

DBS checks are required. The ideal candidate has experience with primary-aged children, holds a Level 2/3 TA qualification, and demonstrates patience, flexibility and excellent communication skills with pupils, parents

Teaching Assistant – Key Stage 1 & Key Stage 2

Full-Time (5 days per week) | Term-Time Only | Start Date: September 2026

We are seeking a dedicated, enthusiastic, and adaptable Teaching Assistant to join our friendly and supportive team, working flexibly across both Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys variety in their role and is passionate about helping children of all ages achieve their potential.

About the Role

• Support the learning and development of pupils across KS1 and KS2, adapting your approach to suit different age groups and abilities
• Assist with the planning and delivery of engaging lessons and activities
• Provide targeted support for individuals and small groups, including children with additional needs
• Help promote positive behaviour and a safe, nurturing classroom environment
• Support pupils’ social, emotional, and academic development
• Work collaboratively with teachers, SENDCo, and support staff

About You

• Has experience working with primary-aged children (previous TA experience desirable but not essential)
• Holds a relevant qualification (e.g. Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant qualification)
• Is patient, caring, and flexible, with excellent communication skills
• Can build positive relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues
• Is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
