Teaching Assistant
Location: Long Eaton, Derbyshire (NG10)
Pay: £90 - £105 per day (PAYE)
Contract: Long term, with potential to go permanent
Start Date: ASAP
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 3:30pm

About the Role

We're looking for a Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming secondary school in Long Eaton. The school is known for its inclusive approach, and strong sense of community.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys supporting young people to achieve their best. You'll be working with students who need extra help in lessons, sometimes on a 1-1 basis and sometimes in small groups, across a range of subjects.

It's a long-term role starting as soon as possible, offering a full-time role and the chance to become a valued member of the school's support team.

What You'll Be Doing
  • Supporting students with additional needs to access learning
  • Working with teachers to deliver lessons and classroom activities
  • Encouraging pupils to stay focused, engaged and motivated
  • Using positive behaviour strategies to support learning and progress
  • Helping to create a safe, inclusive classroom environment
What We're Looking For
  • Experience of working with students, ideally with SEN
  • A patient, adaptable and encouraging approach
  • Good communication skills and the ability to build trust with pupils
  • An Enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply with our support)
