SEN Teaching Assistant - 2:1 Behaviour Support - Primary School in Haringey - ASAP Start

A supportive primary school in Haringey is looking for a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to provide 2:1 support to a Year 3 pupil with behavioural difficulties. This is a fantastic opportunity for an SEN Teaching Assistant with experience in managing challenging behaviour. The successful SEN Teaching Assistant will work alongside another TA, alternating support throughout the day, while also assisting in a separate class when not providing direct 1:1 support.

SEN Teaching Assistant - Role Overview:
  1. Provide 2:1 support to a Year 3 child with behavioural difficulties.
  2. Take turns with the other SEN Teaching Assistant to ensure consistent support.
  3. Implement behaviour management strategies and encourage positive engagement.
  4. Support the pupil in academic tasks, emotional regulation, and social interaction.
  5. Assist in another class and perform general TA duties when not providing direct support.
SEN Teaching Assistant - Ideal Candidate:
  1. Experience as an SEN Teaching Assistant supporting children with behavioural needs.
  2. Ability to manage challenging behaviour in a calm and structured manner.
  3. A patient, proactive, and resilient approach to support.
  4. Experience working in primary schools or similar educational settings.
  5. A valid Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply via Reeson Education.
