A leading support service provider in London is seeking dedicated Learning Support Assistants to work with students who have learning disabilities. You will assist in classroom activities and help students access the curriculum, ensuring a positive and inclusive environment. Candidates should have minimum GCSE qualifications and preference will be given to those with experience in a support role.
We are seeking dedicated and responsible individuals to join our team as Learning Support Assistants, working specifically with students who have Learning Disability needs. This role involves providing basic support within the classroom, assisting both students and teachers to promote an effective and inclusive learning environment.
Support students with learning disabilities in classroom activities under the direction of the class teacher.
Assist students to access the curriculum by providing focused academic support, particularly in literacy and numeracy.
Help maintain a disciplined and respectful classroom environment, ensuring students follow school rules and expectations.
Monitor student progress and report any concerns to the class teacher or appropriate school staff.
Encourage positive behavior and social interaction among students.
Support compliance protocols and safeguarding requirements.
Attend staff meetings and training sessions as required.
Minimum GCSE qualifications, including Maths and English.
Previous experience or background in care or working with individuals with special needs is advantageous.
Experience in classroom support or a similar role is desirable.
Understanding of learning disabilities and appropriate support methods.
Knowledge of basic classroom discipline and school policies
