Reeson Education are supporting a large mainstream secondary school in Croydon, South London who require an enthusiastic Teaching Assistant (EAL) to join their team from September 2025 on a full-time basis.

The successful candidate will be a Teaching Assistant with prior secondary school experience, or a graduate looking to pursue a career as a qualified teacher in the future.

The role of the Teaching Assistant is to support students with moderate learning difficulties and encourage learning across a variety of subjects and year groups. You should be able to demonstrate successful experience in supporting students with EAL.

* Supervise and provide particular support for students identified with EAL ensuring their safety and access to learning activities
* Establish constructive relationships with students and interact with them according to individual needs
* Create and maintain a purposeful, orderly and supportive environment, in accordance with lesson plans and assist with students' learning
* Use strategies, in liaison with the teacher, to support students to achieve learning goals
* Assist with the planning of learning activities
