Role: Teaching Assistant

Location: Bromley

End Date: Negotiable

Employment Type: Full-Time/Part-Time

Pay Scale: GBP90 - GBP110 per day depending on experience & Contract Type

About the Role

GSL Education is partnering with a well-resourced school in Bromley to recruit a Teaching Assistant. This role is ideal for individuals seeking to gain classroom experience before applying for teacher training. You will work alongside experienced educators, support student learning, and contribute positively to the school community.

Key Responsibilities

1. Classroom Support: Assist teachers with delivering lessons, support individual students, and facilitate small group activities.
2. Individualized Learning: Support students requiring additional help by adapting materials and providing targeted interventions.
3. Behaviour Management: Help maintain a positive, respectful classroom environment and support behaviour strategies.
4. Assessments and Monitoring: Aid in assessing student progress, providing feedback, and recording data.
5. Extra-Curricular Activities: Support clubs, sports, and trips to promote student engagement and development.

Candidate Requirements

• A degree in any subject, with 2:2 or higher preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• An enthusiastic, proactive attitude and a passion for education.
• Flexibility and adaptability across different subjects and teaching styles.
• Ability to work independently and in teams.
• Enhanced DBS registered with the update service.
