Are you passionate about making a real difference in the lives of young learners with special educational needs?

ABC Teachers is currently recruiting a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join a supportive SEN school in Lichfield. This is a full-time opportunity, with the potential to become an ongoing placement for the right candidate.

Your Role Will Involve

• Providing tailored support to primary-aged students with a range of special educational needs.
• Assisting with the implementation of personalised learning plans that promote progress and confidence.
• Encouraging student engagement, independence, and self-belief in the classroom.
• Working collaboratively with parents, carers, and external professionals to ensure consistent and holistic support.

What We’re Looking For

• Experience working with children, particularly those with SEN (preferred but not essential).
• Volunteering, youth work, or tutoring experience will also be considered.
• Relevant qualifications such as Youth Work, Health & Social Care, or Supporting Teaching & Learning (desirable).
• Ability to provide suitable references and pass an enhanced DBS check.
• All staff we register will undertake thorough interviewing and referencing checks and hold, or be prepared to undergo, an Enhanced DBS check that must be registered on the Update Service.
