We are seeking dedicated Teaching Assistants to join a team of professionals supporting students with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) in secondary schools across Lancing. This is a rewarding opportunity for individuals who are committed to inclusive education and keen to support students in reaching their full potential.
Provide 1:1 or small group support to students with EHCPs
Work collaboratively with class teachers and SENCOs to implement personalised learning strategies
Assist in the planning and delivery of tailored learning activities
Promote student independence, confidence, and engagement
Support with social, emotional, and behavioural needs, where appropriate
Experience working with children or young people with special educational needs (SEN), particularly in a secondary school setting
Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude
Strong communication and teamwork skills
A flexible and proactive approach to supporting diverse learning needs
Relevant qualifications (e.g., CACHE Level 2/3, or equivalent) are desirable but not essential. Full training and ongoing support will be provided.
