Job summary

Envision Education is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to support children and young people in Kingston upon Thames. The role offers Monday–Friday daytime hours in a school setting, with opportunities to develop your education career while making a real difference.

We welcome both experienced Teaching Assistants and those with transferable experience who are passionate, patient, and enthusiastic about helping students reach their potential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months' experience working with children.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for one.
• Available Monday to Friday, 8:30am–4:00pm.
• Passionate, patient and enthusiastic about supporting children and young people.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Higher-level qualifications are preferred, but transferable experience will be considered.

Responsibilities

The Role

As a Teaching Assistant, you will:

• Provide classroom and 1:1 support to students, helping them engage confidently with their learning.

• Build positive and trusting relationships with students.
• Encourage and motivate students to participate, develop their skills and achieve their potential.

About You

We're looking for someone who:

• Is available Monday to Friday, 8:30am-4:00pm.
• Has at least 6 months' experience working with children.
• Has an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or is willing to apply for one.
• Is passionate, patient and enthusiastic about supporting children and young people.
• Has strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Higher-level qualifications are preferred, but transferable experience will also be considered.
