Pay Rate: £90 to £110 per day (Depending on experience)

GSL Education are looking for a caring and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant (TA) to join a welcoming and inclusive mainstream primary school in Hove. This is a fantastic opportunity to support pupils in their early educational journey and make a lasting impact on their development.

About the Role

As a Teaching Assistant (TA), you’ll work closely with class teachers to support pupils across a range of subjects and activities. From phonics and numeracy to creative play and social development, you’ll help create a positive and engaging learning environment where every child feels valued and supported.

Key Responsibilities of Teaching Assistant (TA)

  • Support the class teacher in delivering engaging and age-appropriate lessons.
  • Provide one-on-one and small group support to help pupils grasp key concepts.
  • Encourage positive behaviour and help children develop social skills.
  • Assist with classroom organisation, displays, and learning resources.
  • Monitor and record pupil progress, sharing feedback with staff and parents.
  • Work collaboratively with staff to ensure the wellbeing and safety of all pupils.

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience working with primary-aged children in a school or similar setting.
  • A nurturing, patient, and enthusiastic approach to supporting young learners.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • A relevant qualification in education or childcare is desirable but not essential.
