Randstad Education in Haywards Heath is seeking an enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to support autistic students and contribute to a personalised curriculum within a calm, resource-rich setting.

You will work 1:1 and in groups, following weekly plans while maintaining the well-being and confidence of learners. This term-time only role runs Monday to Friday from 8:30am to 4:15pm, with on-site parking and funded training opportunities.

Qualificações

• Experience working with learners with SEN is desirable but not essential.
• Ability to learn and build relationships with learners.
• Confidence to support group instruction and different subjects.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Flexible approach to education and routines.

Responsabilidades

• Provide assistance to the teacher according to weekly/daily plans.
• Work 1:1 with students.
• Deliver group or individual activities planned by the teacher.
• Support learners to develop work and understanding.
• Contribute to learners’ well-being within school routines.
• Monitor and evaluate students’ learning under teacher guidance.
• Assist teachers with classroom management strategies to create a purposeful learning environment.
• Support learners across all curriculum areas with planned structured work.

A team of caring, charismatic SEN workers are looking for an enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join their team. This school has some amazing facilities that you are able to use alongside the students to help them with their development! You will be working 121 with Autistic students and helping to implement a personalised curriculum.

This setting supports primary and secondary aged pupils with Autism and associated needs. The setting is based on acres of land and has incredible resources including a forest school site. This school is recognised for its calm, purposeful atmosphere where every pupil is supported to succeed. Clear routines and gentle guidance help pupils feel secure. Pupils trust the school, processes set in place and the staff who support them and as a result of this trust pupils grow in confidence and independence.

This role is needed Monday - Friday 08:30am-4:15pm. This is a term time only role.

Your responsibilities will include:

• -Providing assistance to the teacher defined according to weekly/daily/sessional planning
• -Working 1:1 with students
• -Providing group and/or individual activities, planned by the teacher
• -Working individually with learners/students to develop work.
• -Supporting the general well being of learners within the structure of the school
• -Monitoring and evaluating students learning under the guidance of the teacher
• -Assisting teachers in the use of relevant management strategies to ensure a purposeful environment for teaching and learning to take place
• -Supporting all learners in their planned structured work in all curriculum areas

Key skills and experience needed:

• -The ability to work with learners that have various SEN needs
• -A willingness to learn and build relationships with learners
• -Confidence to support the lead in groups, in different educational subjects
• -The ability to work as an individual and as a part of the team
• -Flexibility in their approach to education
• -Experience working in SEND settings is desirable but not essential
