Job summary

Randstad UK is seeking a Teaching Assistant to join a supportive team working with primary and secondary pupils with Autism and related needs. The setting offers a calm atmosphere, forest school resources, and a structured routine to help pupils grow in confidence and independence.

The role involves 1:1 and group activities, supporting the teacher, and contributing to a personalised curriculum. The position is term-time, Monday to Friday, 8:30am-4:15pm, with on-site parking and meals.

Qualifications

• Ability to work with learners that have various SEN needs.
• Willingness to learn and build relationships with learners.
• Confident to support lead in groups and in different subjects.
• Ability to work individually and as part of a team.
• Flexible approach to education.
• Experience in SEND settings is desirable but not essential.
• Right to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Providing assistance to the teacher according to weekly/daily/sessional planning.
• Working 1:1 with students.
• Providing group and/or individual activities planned by the teacher.
• Working individually with learners to develop work.
• Supporting the general well being of learners within the structure of the school.
• Monitoring and evaluating students learning under the guidance of the teacher.
• Assisting teachers in the use of management strategies to ensure a purposeful environment for teaching and learning.
• Supporting all learners in their planned structured work in all curriculum areas.

A team of caring, charismatic SEN workers are looking for an enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join their team. This school has some amazing facilities that you are able to use alongside the students to help them with their development! You will be working 121 with Autistic students and helping to implement a personalised curriculum.

This setting supports primary and secondary aged pupils with Autism and associated needs. The setting is based on acres of land and has incredible resources including a forest school site. This school is recognised for its calm, purposeful atmosphere where every pupil is supported to succeed. Clear routines and gentle guidance help pupils feel secure. Pupils trust the school, processes set in place and the staff who support them and as a result of this trust pupils grow in confidence and independence.

This role is needed Monday - Friday 08:30am-4:15pm. This is a term time only role.
