Job summary

The Cambian Great Dunmow School is a small independent specialist provision for children and young people aged 11 to 19 with social, emotional and mental health difficulties with associated complex needs. The role involves assisting students and supporting teachers to create an inclusive and engaging classroom environment.

You will work 1:1 or 2:1 with students, helping them learn and participate in activities, using technology and adjusting the environment as needed.

Responsibilities

• Assisting students in their educational and social development.
• Providing support inside and outside of the classroom, so they can fully engage in a wide range of activities.
• Helping to set up activities for students, using technology or adjusting the environment to suit their needs.
• Supporting teachers, engaging with students, providing learning support, and reacting to situations in the classroom in a positive, non-disruptive manner.
• Working 1:1 or 2:1 with some students, to give them the time and support they need to learn.

Salary Details: £23,370.40 per annum

You will play a crucial role in shaping young minds under the expert guidance of our dedicated teachers. You will assist in creating an inspiring and organised classroom environment, ensuring every student feels included and has the opportunity to excel.
