Job summary

The Treetops Learning Community is seeking a Teaching Assistant to work with class teachers to support student learning. This role may involve supporting all students in the class and/or providing 1:1 support for a named student.

Experience of working with pupils with special educational needs is preferable but not essential. The post offers 25 hours per week, term-time with 45.8 weeks per year and a SEN allowance included in the pay, based at Grays, Essex.

The Trust: In March 2025 Treetops School was judged by Ofsted to have maintained the standards identified at the previous inspection. The previous inspection was in February 2020, at which time Treetops was judged as Outstanding. Treetops Free School, which officially opened in September 2022, was judged Good in its first Ofsted inspection in March 2024.
Students throughout Treetops Learning Community have complex needs varying from moderate to severe learning difficulties, which may include; speech and communication difficulties, autism and global developmental delay.

The Role: We are seeking to appoint Teaching Assistants to work with in partnership with class teachers, to support student learning. This may involve supporting all of the students in the class and/or providing 1:1 support for a named student.
Previous experience of working with children with special educational needs whilst not essential, is preferable.
