Job summary

Prospero Teaching is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming Bristol school. You will support pupils in learning, assist teachers and contribute to an engaging classroom environment.

This role offers opportunities for long-term progression and flexible hours, with a focus on safeguarding and inclusive education. The ideal candidate has school-based experience or a willingness to obtain an enhanced DBS, strong communication skills and the ability to work well with colleagues,

Qualifications

• Experience working with children or young people is desirable.
• A caring, patient and enthusiastic attitude is important.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills are required.
• An enhanced DBS on update service or willingness to apply is expected.
• Right to work in the UK is required.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils in the classroom with their learning and development.
• Assist teachers with lesson delivery and classroom activities.
• Provide one-to-one and small group support as needed.
• Encourage positive behaviour and promote pupil engagement.
• Support pupils with additional learning needs when necessary.
• Help create a safe, inclusive and stimulating learning environment.
• Communicate effectively with teachers, staff, pupils and parents where appropriate.
• Ensure safeguarding responsibilities are met at all times.

About the Role

Prospero Teaching are currently recruiting a Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming school in Bristol. This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about education who enjoys supporting pupils in their learning and helping them reach their full potential in a positive and inclusive environment.

The successful candidate will work closely with teachers and support staff to provide classroom assistance, deliver targeted interventions, and help create an engaging learning experience for all pupils.

Responsibilities

• Supporting pupils in the classroom with their learning and development
• Assisting teachers with lesson delivery and classroom activities
• Providing one-to-one and small group support where required

• Supporting pupils with additional learning needs when necessary
