Job Title: Teaching Assistant
Location: M31, Greater Manchester
Start Date: ASAP
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM - 3:30 PM
Pay Rate: GBP13.69 to GBP15.87 per hour
Contract Type: Full-time, Long-term

Reeson Education is currently looking for a caring, reliable, and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join a nurturing mainstream primary school in the M31 area. This long-term, full-time Teaching Assistant role is set within a small, well-supported SEN class, offering a rewarding opportunity to make a real impact in pupils' lives.

The Teaching Assistant will support a group of up to 8 pupils, ranging from Year 2 to Year 5, all of whom have varying needs including ASD, ADHD, MLD, SEMH, and other learning difficulties. Working alongside the class teacher and a team of experienced Teaching Assistants, the successful Teaching Assistant will help to deliver engaging, supportive, and inclusive learning experiences.

This is an ideal role for a Teaching Assistant who thrives in a structured and caring environment and enjoys working collaboratively to meet the diverse needs of pupils.

Teaching Assistant Key Responsibilities:
* Provide individualised and small-group support within a dedicated SEN class (Y2-Y5)
* Support children with a range of needs including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, and MLD
* Work closely with teaching staff and fellow Teaching Assistants to create a consistent and nurturing routine
* Support the implementation of EHCP targets and personalised learning approaches
* Assist with behaviour regulation, sensory needs, and smooth classroom transitions
* Encourage independence and engagement through play and structured tasks

The Ideal Teaching Assistant Will:
* Have experience in a SEN or inclusive primary school setting
* Be calm, patient, and committed to supporting individual learning journeys
* Demonstrate strong teamwork and excellent communication
* Show initiative, flexibility, and a positive attitude
* Be confident in supporting behaviour management and routine-based learning

Teaching Assistant Requirements:
* Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
* Legal right to work in the UK
* Two recent references from education-based roles
* Prior experience supporting children with additional learning needs
