Job summary

Silverways School in Enfield, part of Kedleston Group, is seeking two Teaching Assistants to join our dedicated team. You will support pupils with autism and related needs, fostering a child-centered and inclusive learning environment.

We're looking for caring, energetic individuals with strong communication skills who can work well with staff, parents, and carers to help students thrive and reach their potential. Training and development opportunities are provided.

Responsibilities

• Identify strategies to help overcome individual pupils’ barriers to learning
• Be prepared to use humour and restorative practice to ensure a child-centred approach.
• Support the transition of new pupils arriving or existing pupils returning to school, putting the necessary support in place to overcome any barriers to learning
• Provide in class support as necessary to meet the needs of the school.
• Liaise with other staff to monitoring pupils’ behaviour and well being
• Build positive relations with parents/carers to encourage family involvement in their child’s progress.
• Communicate with parents/carers about specific support in place for their child.

Silverways School is an independent special school which supports children and young people with autism and associated learning needs. The school is set in the heart of the community in Enfield, North London.

Silverways School is part of Kedleston Group. We specialise in providing specialist education for children aged 7-19 with a range of special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).
