TeacherActive is recruiting a Welsh Speaking Learning Support Assistant for a Welsh-medium primary school in Aberdare. The role is full-time and long-term, starting immediately, supporting Reception pupils primarily in Welsh-medium activities.

The successful candidate will have Welsh fluency, experience in Early Years or Reception, and the ability to work independently and in small groups to promote early development while maintaining a caring, patient approach.

Qualifications

• Fluent Welsh speaker with ability to support learning through Welsh medium.
• Experience in Early Years or Reception settings is preferred.
• Good communication and teamwork skills in a school environment.

Responsabilités

• Support pupils in a Reception class, both independently and in small groups.
• Deliver engaging learning activities aligned with the Early Years curriculum.
• Assist the class teacher in creating a positive Welsh-medium learning environment.

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a Welsh-medium primary school based in Aberdare, who are looking to appoint a dedicated Welsh Speaking Learning Support Assistant (LSA). The school prides itself on its welcoming community spirit and child-centred ethos, creating a nurturing and inclusive environment where children are at the heart of everything they do.

The school is looking to take on a Welsh Speaking Learning Support Assistant on a full-time, long-term basis, starting immediately. The successful LSA will primarily support pupils within a Reception class, working both independently and with small groups to deliver engaging learning activities, promote early development and support the class teacher in creating a positive learning environment through the medium of Welsh.

The successful Welsh Speaking Learning Support Assistant will have:

• Fluency in Welsh, with the confidence to communicate and support learning through the medium of Welsh
• A relevant Teaching Assistant or Early Years qualification (desirable)
• Experience working with children in an Early Years or Reception setting
• Experience supporting pupils independently and delivering small group learning activities
• A sound understanding of the Early Years curriculum and child development
• A caring, patient and proactive attitude with excellent communication and teamwork skills
