A primary school in London is seeking a full-time Teaching Assistant to support student learning and assist the teacher in the classroom. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic about child development and capable of tailoring support to meet diverse needs. This is a one-year fixed-term position starting in October 2025 offering a competitive salary scale of £31,086 - £31,530 prorated based on hours worked.

We are seeking a full-time teaching assistant, required at Jessop Primary School, 1 Year Fixed Term.

Starting date: October 2025
Working Hours: 35hrs per week 08:30am – 4:30pm (including a break).
Scale 3 (£31,086 – £31,530) pro-rata

Having recently confirmed our OUTSTANDING Status with Ofsted, the Senior Leadership of the school are looking for a Teaching Assistant to join our learning community. Having established a collaborative way of working, across our Federation, we are seeking to harness the talents of driven, aspirational, and dedicated professionals, willing to develop and enhance their existing expertise to create memorable learning experiences for children.

Purpose of Job

To work under the direct instruction of teaching/senior staff, usually in the classroom with the teacher, to support access to learning for pupils and provide general support to the teacher in the management of pupils and the classroom.

You will be ready to tailor teaching to remove barriers, so all of our children have access to the curriculum, and monitoring progress so that every child achieves.
