About The Role
Monarch Education is proud to be working with a welcoming school in the Chippenham area. This is an opportunity to make a significant difference in the lives of students with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) and SEMH needs. The ideal candidate will be proactive, patient, empathetic, and confident in managing behaviours associated with Autism.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide 1:1 and small group support to students with Autism and SEMH needs
- Assist with the implementation and monitoring of EHCPs tailored to students with ASC
- Promote positive behaviour and emotional well-being through proactive strategies
- Support students in overcoming barriers to learning and building confidence
- Aid in the development of social and emotional skills in a safe, supportive environment
- Support classroom management and encourage positive peer interactions
Candidate Profile
Essential: Candidates must have previous experience working specifically with children or young people with Autism. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of ASC and be confident in supporting students with their unique needs. Patience, empathy, and the ability to manage behaviours linked to Autism are essential, along with providing emotional support and fostering independence.
