Job summary

Axcis Education Recruitment is seeking a resilient and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to provide dedicated 1:1 support to a non-verbal autistic pupil in Reception at a welcoming mainstream primary school in Chigwell, IG7.

Location: Chigwell, IG7. Pay: £105 per day. The role involves personal care, supporting communication and engagement, and working closely with the class teacher and SEN team to help the pupil feel safe, included and supported in the classroom.

Qualifications

• Be patient, resilient and proactive.
• Be comfortable providing personal care.
• Be confident supporting a child who may display physical behaviours.
• Ideally have experience supporting children with ASD, SEND or communication needs.
• Have a calm and consistent approach to behaviour.
• Be passionate about helping children with additional needs thrive.
