Job summary

Dorin Park School in Upton, Chester is seeking a Teaching Assistant (Grade 6) on a permanent, part-time basis. The role includes class coverage and support for pupils with SEND, within a 39-week year including INSET days.

Salary ranges from £28,598 to £31,022 FTE, with potential hourly rates £14.82–£16.08; DBS enhanced; term-time arrangement. The successful candidate will have NVQ level 3 or equivalent, experience in special schools or resource provision, and a collaborative, resilient approach

Salary Range - £28,598 to £31,022(FTE), £14.82 to £16.08 per hour (pay award pending)

We are seeking applications from candidates for the role of Teaching Assistant (including class cover), or TA6. As the post is at Grade 6, applicants should have the ability to occasionally cover a whole class.

Please note - this could be a grade 6 in any class across the school

The successful applicant will have:

• a minimum of NVQ level 3 or equivalent
• experience in a special school or resource provision
• an understanding that different pupils require different approaches and an ability to adapt responses according to pupil need
• personal resilience and a team attitude
• ambition for our pupils to help them be the best they can in all areas
