A highly regarded two-form entry Primary School in Chatham, ratedGoodby Ofsted, is expanding its support team and seeking dedicated Teaching Assistants to join their caring and inclusive community.

This well-respected school is known for its nurturing ethos and commitment to supporting the diverse needs of its pupils. As part of a dedicated team, you’ll play a vital role in helping children – particularly in Lower Key Stage 1 – build the strong foundation they need for a successful education journey.

Teaching Assistant responsibilities:

• Provide classroom-based support to ensure all children are engaged and making progress
• Work with small intervention groups or deliver 1:1 support for children with SEN needs
• Help create a calm, safe, and inclusive learning environment
• Liaise with teachers and SENDCo to implement targeted strategies for individual pupils
• Support children’s emotional, social, and academic development for an enriching educational experience

Teaching Assistant requirements:

• Previous experience supporting children in a Primary school setting
• A calm, patient and nurturing approach
• Understanding of SEN needs such as Autism, ADHD, Speech and Language
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willing to apply)
