Job summary

Axcis Education in Hampton, Greater London is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to support classroom teachers in a busy school setting. You will help with lesson delivery, student supervision, and creating a safe, inclusive learning environment.

The role requires GCSEs English and Maths at grade C/4 or above, DBS clearance, strong communication and team-working skills, and the ability to follow instructions and maintain confidentiality.

Qualifications

• GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Mathematics at grade C/4 or above.
• Experience working with children in an educational setting (school or voluntary sector).
• DBS clearance (or willingness to obtain).

Responsibilities

• Assist teachers with lesson preparation, delivery, and assessment activities.
• Provide targeted support to individual pupils or small groups, reinforcing concepts and skills.
• Supervise students during classroom work, recess, lunch, and excursions, ensuring welfare and discipline.
• Prepare and maintain learning resources, displays, and classroom organization.
• Record attendance, monitor progress, and update pupil records in accordance with school policy.
• Collaborate with staff to implement inclusive strategies and meet the diverse needs of learners.
• Support the promotion of a positive school culture and adherence to safeguarding procedures.

Job Title: Teaching Assistant Location: Hampton, Greater London Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent (8:00?am – 3:30?pm, Monday-Friday) Salary: Paid to scale

Overview We are seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to support classroom teachers in a vibrant primary/secondary setting in Hampton, Greater London. The successful candidate will contribute to a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment that promotes the academic and personal growth of all students.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist teachers with lesson preparation, delivery, and assessment activities.
• Provide targeted support to individual pupils or small groups, reinforcing concepts and skills.
• Supervise students during classroom work, recess, lunch, and excursions, ensuring welfare and discipline.
• Prepare and maintain learning resources, displays, and classroom organization.

Essential Qualifications & Skills

• Relevant Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant qualification.
• Knowledge of SEND provisions and differentiated learning techniques.
