Early Years TA – Canterbury

Calling all champions of playtime and pint-sized learning! A delightful primary school in Canterbury is on the lookout for an Early Years Teaching Assistant who’s ready to turn every moment into a magical learning experience. Fun Fact: Canterbury is home to England’s oldest school. The King’s School, founded in 597 AD! So, if you love history and tiny humans, this is the place to be.

Contract: Full time – September start

Salary: £ 90 - £100 per day

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Supporting the delivery of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum
  • Creating a safe, stimulating space where children thrive through play and exploration
  • Assisting with phonics, storytelling, messy art, and outdoor adventures
  • Providing tailored support to children with additional needs
  • Collaborating with teachers and staff to sprinkle joy across the classroom

What You’ll Need

  • Experience working with children in EYFS settings (nursery or reception)
  • A relevant qualification such as CACHE Level 2 or 3 (preferred)
  • GCSEs in English and Maths (Grade C/4 or above)
  • A nurturing, energetic personality and a love for early childhood development
  • Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)
