Job summary

Connex Education is seeking a passionate SEND Teaching Assistant to join a supportive primary school in Cannock. Role: Teaching Assistant

Rate of pay: £425 – £475 Per Week – Dependant on experience

Location: Cannock – WS11

**About the role**

Are you a passionate and proactive SEND Teaching Assistant looking for your next opportunity? We are seeking a dedicated and experienced individual to join our committed support team, working closely with children who have a variety of additional needs. This is a rewarding role for someone who is ready to make a real impact every day.

In this role, you will provide 1:1 or small group support for pupils with SEND, particularly those with Autism and challenging behaviours. You will adapt learning activities to meet individual needs, building positive and trusting relationships with children to support both their emotional and educational development. Working closely with the class teacher and SENCO, you will help implement personalised strategies and interventions, while maintaining a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment

**Role Requirements**

  • Level 3 qualification (or higher) in Supporting Teaching and Learning or equivalent
  • Proven experience supporting pupils with a range of SEND needs, including ASD and challenging behaviours.
  • A commitment to promoting equality and diversity in the classroom
  • An understanding of child protection and safeguarding guidelines
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply for one through Connex Education.
