Job description

Do believe that you have the drive and dedication to ensure that all children have the very best education experience? Bridgeway Federation, which compromises of Broadway Infant School and The Ridge Junior School wish to appoint an experienced Teaching Assistant. This role is based at the Junior school in KS2.

We are looking for someone with an interest in SEND and in supporting children to achieve and grow regardless of barriers. Our children need someone passionate, dedicated and nurturing to embrace their needs and help them meet their targets. The role will involve working with two pupils, who hold an EHCP. This successful candidate will work across Year 3 as the children are in different classes, interventions and support will be timetabled to ensure both children receive the support they require. This is a temporary post that will end when funding ceases or the child leaves the school.

As a SEN Teaching Assistant within The Ridge Junior School, you’ll be able to build upon your existing skillset within a supportive environment, with professional development, training, and career progression opportunities available.

The successful candidate will work closely with the Class teacher and SENCo to ensure provision and support is appropriate and tailored for these children.

This post is term time only plus 5 INSET days.

Working pattern -

32.5 hours per week

Monday to Friday 8.30am - 3.30pm with a 30min unpaid break.

This is a temporary role until 31/08/2029 or when the child/children leave the school.

Interviews will be held onWednesday 9th or Thursday 10th June.

• Have the communication skills necessary to act as a link between the children, the other lunchbreak staff and the rest of the adults working in school.

• Be prepared to fully participate in training and professional development where applicable to the post.

• Understand the need for and adhere to strictest standards of confidentiality.
