Position: Reception Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a Reception Teaching Assistant for an Estyn-rated ‘Excellent’ School in Bridgend.

This school emphasizes collaborative work to deliver a well-rounded education, fostering imagination and independence. The successful candidate will work as a general teaching assistant within the reception class, supporting the class teacher in delivering a comprehensive curriculum to all children.

This is a full-time role for the entire academic year, with working hours from 8:30 to 3:30 daily.

Candidate Profile

• Possession of a Bachelor’s Degree (2:2 or above), with a strong academic record and previous experience as a Teaching Assistant.
• Ideal for a graduate aiming to progress quickly in their career.

Summary

• Working hours: 8:30 – 15:30
• Salary: £84 - £95 per day (PAYE)

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree (desirable)

• At least 3 months proven experience working with primary children
• Track record of improving pupils’ performance
• Eligibility to work in the UK (must have a valid visa)
• Recent classroom-based references and a valid DBS/police check
