Job Title: Teaching Assistant (SEN Experience Desired)
Salary: 20,475 - 21,450
Contract Type: Full-time / Term-time Only
A secondary school is seeking dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant's to support students across Key Stages 3 and 4. We are particularly keen to hear from applicants with experience in supporting young people with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
This is an excellent opportunity to work in a great school environment, helping students overcome barriers to learning and reach their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-to-one and small group support for students with SEN, both in and out of the classroom
  • Assist teachers in delivering tailored lessons that meet individual learning needs
  • Help students develop their social, emotional, and academic skills
  • Promote independence and build students' confidence in their abilities


Essential Requirements:

  • A genuine interest in supporting secondary-aged students
  • Excellent communication, patience and empathy
  • The ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting student welfare


Desirable (Nice to Have):

  • Experience working with students with a range of SEN (e.g. autism, ADHD, speech and language difficulties)
  • Understanding of strategies to support students with additional needs
  • Relevant qualifications (e.g. Level 2 or 3 Certificate in Supporting Teaching and Learning)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
