Job summary

As the exclusive provider of day-to-day, short-term and long-term supply staffing within ALP, we have consistent opportunities available throughout the academic year, with day rates of £92.56–£105.00 depending on experience and

Responsibilities

• Support students in and out of the classroom, helping teachers to enable pupil progress.
• Deliver intervention and targeted support as directed by teachers and SEND staff.
• Assist with classroom management and one-to-one support where required.
• Contribute to a positive, inclusive learning environment across ALP secondary schools.

The successful Teaching Assistant will support students both in and out of the classroom, working alongside teachers to help pupils achieve their full potential. Roles may include general classroom support, intervention work, SEND support and one-to-one assistance.

Requirements

To be considered for the Teaching Assistant position, you will have:

• Experience working with children or young people.
• A passion for supporting the learning and development of secondary school pupils.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• A patient, caring and adaptable approach.
• The ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff.
• Previous school experience is desirable but not essential.
